Project Life | Week Twenty-Seven.

Hello Week Twenty-Seven!

I had fun putting this week together mainly because of all the colour! I used another Studio Calico kit.

The right side.

My title card. LOVE the bike clip from the kit. That green leather brad is from my stash. I adore that quote.

My poor kiddos but I do love this photo of William. He looked cool with the glasses on. See that arrow? More about that further in this post.

I wrote directly onto the photo with my Slick Writer then realised I had a little more to say so journaled around the photos. I was so proud of my kids during this entire experience. It was new and a little scary but they were brave.

This is a Chaos Card from Documenting Chaos. I LOVE it! When I had asked Sarah to create some Chaos Cards for one of my kits I had envisioned this particular card being used to journal in. Sarah went to great lengths to create this particular card. I appreciate you! xxx Visit Sarah’s Documenting Chaos website and Etsy shop to get your hands on some scrumptious Chaos Cards today!

Poor Stella. Not fair at all. At least I got to use the sad face from the Smiley Face Printed Tickets by Jenni Bowlin.

Hello my new friend bling! Found it really difficult to adhere these to the paper so I ended up sewing them on.

The left side.

I sewed the string and ribbon out of necessity. They just wouldn’t sit down!

I love this Jenni Bowlin acrylic stamp set Weekdays. (Desperately trying to get it back in stock.) It works great with the acrylic paint dabbers. You need to put lots of paint onto the stamp though. If you’ve got some dabbers try it out with your own acrylic stamps. You’ll love the effect!

I’m noticing that I feel the need to outline everything. Hmmm….. More red arrows. Keep reading :)

Have I ever told you I love tags?

I had a lot of fun using another one of my favourite stamp sets. The Antique Typewriter Wood Stamp Set from Graphic 45. I stamped the word ‘love’ randomly and repeatedly on a piece of scrap paper (I love using scraps) using the stamp set and Weather Vane ink pad by Jenni Bowlin. Then I stamped another ‘love’ onto of the grey using Cough Syrup. Simple but fun!

Then I reached for my acrylic paint dabbers and set to work dabbing some colour to a few mistable shapes. I know they are suppose to be for the Mister Huey’s but they also look great when dabbed with the acrylic paint dabbers. The thing I love about using the Jenni Bowlin range of inks and dabbers is that the colours co-ordinate perfectly.

My mother always told me, “when you bake a cake you might as well back two or three seeing as though you’re going to make just as much mess”. Well, I’ve applied that theory to my crafting. And what do you know, the extras came in handy!

My crazy boy William. I have fallen in love with Thickers. I love that you can sew through them so easily!

This 3×4 Camera Collection Overlay was a piece I have had in my Project Life stash. I was thrilled that the teal suited the colour palette of the Studio Calico kit.

Thanks to this particular kit I have fallen in love with BLING! The pink, puffy glitter thickers are called Tulip and are from the Dear Lizzy collection Neapolitan. I haven’t really used a lot of bling in my projects but now I’m sold. :)

Love this striped paper from the Studio Calico kit.

Another Chaos Card from Documenting Chaos. LOVE THEM! Thank you Sarah!

Really enjoyed using my sewing machine again. Here I have used it to accent some words.

This tag was part of one of my kits. I think it was Mini Kit #7. I always have a few left overs from the kits and I like popping them into my project life layouts. My sewing went a bit wonky here :)

This weeks insert mainly created due to the fact that I had some cute little instagrams that were left over but I really wanted to include them. I used an Ormolu flapper as a tab, added a bit of journaling onto it and when I sewed the page protector to sealed it up I just sewed right through it.

I had forgotten to add journaling to the actual photos so I simply wrote on the page protectors with my Slick Writer. The vellum is from my own stash. I’ve actually included vellum tabs in Mini Kit #8 which I released yesterday out of the same vellum.

Thank you for checking out my week. It’s photo heavy but I love seeing heaps of photos in blog posts. You can never have too many in my humble opinion. I’m in awe of your Project Lifers who have managed to stay up to date. Don’t forget to check out our amazing inspirational group Project Life Australia. It’s brilliant community full of Project Lifers willing to share, laugh and have fun. xxx
